One killed in Sitakunda road accident

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 21, 2025 (BSS) - A truck driver was killed today and its helper injured in a road accident in Kadamrasul area of Sitakunda upazila of the Chattogram. 

The deceased was identified as Selim Fakir, 28.

The accident took place on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway when a rod-laden truck hit another truck around 5 am, leaving rod-laden truck driver Selim dead on the spot and injured its helper Rakib, said Md. Abdul Momin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bar Aulia Highway Police Station.

The injured was sent to a local hospital.
