Typhoid vaccination campaign begins in Manikganj

Manikganj, Oct 12, 2025 (BSS) - The "Typhoid Vaccination Campaign-2025" began here today, with the aim of providing Typhoid Conjugate Vaccine (TCV) free of cost to over 4,00,490 children and adolescents, boys and girls in all seven upazilas, including two Poura Sava in the district.

The Civil Surgeon's Office sources said the children and adolescents aged 9 months to 15 years are being administered one dose of the Typhoid Vaccine for each.

The Deputy Commissioner, Dr Manwar Hossein Malla, inaugurating the programme at a vaccination center in Manikganj Poura Sava areas, said the first 10 days programmes of Typhoid Conjugate Vaccines (TCV) will be conducted through Schools and Madrasas and the rest days at EPI Centers and outreach. He urged the people and the workers to make a success of the programme.
