Police recovers foreign pistol, bullets in N'ganj

NARAYANGANJ, March 30, 2026 (BSS)- Police has recovered a foreign-made 
pistol, a magazine and seven rounds of bullet from an abandoned condition 
beside a road in Fatullah upazila here today.

The recovery was made around 12 pm in the noon from an area adjacent to the 
Shaheed Ria Gope Cricket Stadium (Ramarbagh Stadium) here.

According to police sources, a team led by Sub-Inspector (SI) Ferdousur 
Rahman Iman of Fatullah Model Police Station conducted a search in front of 
Royal Garments near the stadium following a tip-off. 

During the drive, his team recovered a foreign-made pistol, magazine and 
bullets lying abandoned beside the road.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Fatullah Model Police Station Abdul Mannan 
confirmed the incident, saying police have launched an investigation to 
identify the source of the weapons and those involved.

Legal action is underway in this connection, he added. 

Police have also intensified surveillance in the Riagop Stadium area to curb 
the activities of criminal groups.
