SSC exam under Chattogram board conducted peacefully

CHATTOGRAM, April 21, 2025 (BSS) – The first day of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations in five districts under the Chattogram Education Board (CEB) was conducted peacefully today.

According to the CEB control room, a total of 1,003 students were absent during the Bangla First Paper (compulsory) examination.

Out of 106,872 enrolled examinees from 1,218 high schools, 105,869 students appeared for the examination at 218 centres. There were no reports of examinees being expelled from CEB centres for adopting unfair means or violating discipline on the first day of the largest public examination at the secondary level.

The Controller of Examinations at CEB, Prof. Dr Parvej Sazzad Chowdhury, told BSS that the examination was conducted peacefully.

A total of 76 general vigilance teams, including 10 special vigilance teams, were deployed at the examination centres to ensure a fair and peaceful examination process. Adequate security measures were also put in place to maintain a conducive atmosphere in and around the centres.

The SSC examination under CEB’s jurisdiction, covering the Chattogram metropolitan area and districts such as Cox’s Bazar, Rangamati, Khagrachhari and Bandarban, started at 10 am and continued until 1 pm.
