Meeting on 'Building a Youth-Based Bangladesh' held in Lalmonirhat

RANGPUR, May 19, 2025 (BSS) - A views-exchange meeting on 'Building a Youth- Based Bangladesh' was held under the theme "Let's change the country, change the world'' in Lalmonirhat district town on Monday.
 
Lalmonirhat District Commissioner HM Rakib Haider was present as the chief guest at the meeting organized by the Lalmonirhat District Information Office at the Deputy Commissioner's conference room, a PID press note said here tonight.
 
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) of Lalmonirhat Md Mahabubur Rahman presided over the function.
 
The keynote article of the exchange meeting was presented by Lalmonirhat District Information Officer Soumik Roy.
 
The chief guest said that today's youth are the main driving force of Bangladesh's development and if they can be utilized properly, the country's development will accelerate.
 
"Along with modern education, the youth should be enriched with technical education. For this, it is important to enhance the skills of the youth and provide them with necessary training," he said.
 
He called on everyone to work together to build a youth-based Bangladesh.
 
In his concluding speech, the Additional Deputy Commissioner said that it is important for young people to acquire international standard skills in the era of globalization.
 
"If the skills of young people in digital technology, artificial intelligence and information technology are improved, they will be able to play an important role in the development of Bangladesh," he said.
 
Government officials, teachers and students, leaders of the anti- discrimination student movement of Lalmonirhat district and journalists were present at the event.
