LALMONIRHAT, May 26, 2026 (BSS) – Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu today said no one would remain homeless or neglected in the country as the government led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is working for the welfare of helpless and underprivileged people.

“The government has expanded social safety net and humanitarian assistance programmes so that no one remains homeless and neglected,” he said.

The minister made the remarks after handing over a house to three destitute siblings at the DC Park residential area in the district town.

The minister took the initiative to provide humanitarian assistance after the situation of the helpless family came under discussion locally.

To encourage female education, the minister also announced that bicycles would be provided to school-going female students. He further said school uniforms, bags and shoes would also be distributed among students.

Later, the minister distributed 30 kg of rice among distressed families and planted a fruit tree in front of the new house.
