LAKSHMIPUR, May 26, 2026 (BSS) – Water Resources Minister Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anee today said BNP is working beyond party affiliations, alleging that a particular party has been obstructing the government’s activities over the past three months in a manner that goes against political decency and courtesy.

“BNP never sided with any particular group and neither encouraged nor extended preferential treatment to anyone,” he said.

The minister made the remarks while exchanging views with party leaders and activists at Mandari Bazar in Chandraganj upazila here tonight.

Anee, also a joint secretary general of BNP, asked party leaders and activists to move forward with patience.

Urging party leaders and activists to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, he said the government currently enjoys many advantages but also faces numerous challenges. He added that it is not possible to resolve all problems within just three months.
