KHULNA, May 26, 2026 (BSS) – A cattle trader was killed and three others, including a child, were injured after a cattle-laden nasimon, three-wheeler, overturned in Koyra upazila of Khulna today.

The deceased was identified as Mizanur Rahman, son of Maulana Samsur Rahman of Khirol village under Amadi union in the upazila.

The accident occurred around 2 pm in front of Islampur Government Primary School while the vehicle was heading to the Bagali JIB Club ground cattle market, police and witnesses said.

According to witnesses and police, the nasimon carrying cattle overturned after reaching the area in front of the school, leaving Mizanur dead on the spot.

Locals rescued the injured and admitted them to Koyra Upazila Health Complex. They were later shifted to Jaigir Mohol Health Complex for treatment.

Confirming the matter, Koyra Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Shah Alam said police visited the scene after the incident.
