DMP files 2,641 cases for traffic rules violation

DHAKA, Aug 21, 2025 (BSS) – The traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed a total of 2,641 cases against motor vehicles and drivers for violating traffic rules in the capital during the last one day.

The DMP has been conducting campaign against traffic violations in the city aimed at bringing traffic system under proper management, according to Dhaka Metropolitan Police Media and Public Relations Division sources.

It said that 431 motor vehicles were dumped and 125 vehicles were wrecked during the campaign against traffic rules violation on August 20.

The DMP release further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.
