DHAKA, Feb 22, 2026 (BSS) - The National Citizen Party (NCP) has formed a 71-member implementation committee to celebrate its first founding anniversary on February 28 with Ariful Islam Adeeb as Convener and Saleh Uddin Sifat as Member Secretary.

The committee was constituted under the directives of NCP Convener Md. Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhter Hossen, said a press release.

According to a party release, the 71-member committee has been entrusted with taking necessary preparations and coordinating programmes marking the anniversary.

The party expressed hope that the programmes to be undertaken on the occasion would be implemented successfully through coordinated efforts of the committee members.

On February 28 last year, the National Citizen Party (NCP), led by the leaders of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and initiated by the Jatiya Nagorik Committee, was officially launched with Nahid Islam as convener and Akhter Hossen as member secretary on Manik Mia Avenue, in front of the National Parliament Building in Dhaka.
