
DHAKA, April 8, 2026 (BSS) - The Tejgaon Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) arrested 38 individuals in the last 24 hours as part of its
ongoing operations against crime.
According to DMP sources, the drive was conducted on Wednesday across
different areas under the Tejgaon Division.
Among those arrested, seven were held in connection with regular cases, two
in old cases, and two were apprehended on the basis of arrest warrants.
Additionally, 27 individuals were detained under the DMP Ordinance.
NM Nasiruddin, Deputy Police Commissioner Media and Public Relations Division
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed their arrest.
Police officials stated that such drives will continue in order to curb
criminal activities and maintain law and order in the capital.
The identities of the arrested individuals have been recorded by the police,
and necessary legal actions are being taken against them.
