DHAKA, June 16, 2026 (BSS) - The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary
Affairs has constituted a committee to facilitate the permanent
institutionalization and transition of digital judicial services, developed
under the "Aspire to Innovate" (a2i) program, to the Law and Justice
Division.
According to an official notification issued by Judicial Branch-8 of the Law
and Justice Division on June 14, 2026, the initiative has been taken to
ensure the long-term sustainability and seamless management of digital
platforms within the ministry's permanent administrative framework.
The a2i programme originally developed these services to simplify judicial
procedures, empower stakeholders, and ensure citizen-centric service
delivery.
The transition follows a strategic decision reached during the 10th meeting
of the Project Steering Committee (PSC) of the a2i (2nd Revised) programme,
held on December 15, 2022.
Pursuant to that decision and a subsequent reference from the Ministry of
Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology dated May 23, 2023, the
Law and Justice Division issued the formal order for the committee's
formation.
Headed by Deputy Secretary Md Masum Billah, the other members of the
committee are Md Moinuddin Kadir (Member Secretary), Muhammad Ashiqur Rahman,
two officials from a2I and its assistant programmer Arafat Ur Rahman.
