Man killed as train hit tractor in Jhenaidah

JHENAIDAH, March 29, 2025 (BSS) - Driver of a tractor was killed when the Dhaka-bound Sundarban Express train hit the vehicle while trying to cross the rail track at Soadi village near Sabdarpur Rail Stattion in Kotchandpur of the district in the early hours today.

The deceased was identified as Bhola Mia, resident of Goyerpur village in Dorshona Thana of Chuadanga district. 

Quoting locals, police said the accident occurred around 12:00 am when the train hit the tractor while trying to cross the rail track at Soadi village, leaving its driver Bhola Mia dead on the spot.

Railway police recovered the deceased's body and the tractor.
