DHAKA, Mar 27, 2026 (BSS) -A court here today placed model Simu Akter Bristy, alias Misty Subhash and one Rafikul Islam on different terms of remand in a case lodged under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

Of the two, Misty was placed on a two-day remand, while Rafikul on a three-day remand.

Dhaka Judicial Magistrate Md Tajul Islam Sohagh passed the order as police produced the duo before the court and pleaded to place them on a five-day remand each in the case.

The two were detained from the National Memorial in Savar on March 26, along with 22-25 activists of the Awami League, which has been banned from carrying out political activities. They allegedly gathered in front of the memorial's main altar in an attempt to destabilise law and order.

Police later filed the case with Ashulia Police Station and showed them arrested in the case.
