
RAJSHAHI, April 8, 2026 (BSS)- A two-day workshop titled “Workshop on Preparation for Accreditation” was held on Monday and Wednesday at the conference room of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Rajshahi University (RU).
On the concluding day of the workshop, Vice-Chancellor Professor Md. Faridul Islam was present as the chief guest. The workshop was chaired by Professor Md. Abu Reza, Director of IQAC.
Resource persons included Additional Directors of the cell, Professor Md. Monimul Haque and Professor Md. Kamal Uddin.
Throughout the two-day workshop, detailed discussions were held across eight sessions on the standards, policies, and practical applications of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC).
On the first day, sessions were conducted on “BAC Accreditation: Compliance with Accreditation Standards and Criteria,” “BNQF: Adaptation and Maintenance,” and “Assessment Using BAC Rubrics.”
In addition, through “Preparation to Apply for BAC Accreditation with Exercise-1,” participants were given a comprehensive understanding of the accreditation application process.
On the second day, the session titled “Curriculum Review and Course File” highlighted strategies for curriculum review and course file preparation.
Additionally, advanced stages of the application process were practiced through “Preparation to Apply for BAC Accreditation with Exercise-2, 3 and 4.”
At the end of each day, participants engaged in open discussions to share their opinions and experiences.
In his speech as chief guest, the Vice-Chancellor stated that to remain competitive globally, higher education institutions must ensure quality education, and accreditation is an effective means to achieve that goal.
He expressed hope that the workshop would provide participants with a clear understanding toward achieving this objective.
Faculty members from various departments of the university participated in the workshop.
