Huge foreign liquors seized in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, May 3, 2025 (BSS)-Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard (east zone) 
seized a large consignment of foreign made liquor and beer in a special drive 
in city's Dogir Khal area under Halishahar Thana this morning. 

1,056 pieces of Beer, 847 pieces of foreign liquor and 4 bottles of olive oil 
worth about Taka 4:15 crore were recovered in an abandoned state from the 
said area. 

Coast Guard said some people were seen unloading some suspicious bags from a 
Danish boat at the said area. Based on information, a patrol team of Coast 
Guard signaled a Danish boat to stop at the said area and recovered the 
illegal goods. 

At that time, when they were signaled to stop, the drug traffickers fled 
safely. The coast guard personnel recovered the goods and boat in an 
abandoned state.
