One dies, six more Covid-19 reported in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, June 21, 2025 (BSS) - One person died and six more Covid-19 cases were reported during the last 24 hours in the district.

With these new cases, the total number of Coronavirus cases in Chattogram reached at 62 in the past 14 days, said Dr. Jahangir Alam, Civil Surgeon of Chattogram.

He mentioned that Coronavirus tests are currently being carried out in six different laboratories including Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) and Chattogram General Hospital. 

Currently, 47 infected patients are undergoing treatment at various designated hospitals here. 

Of the total 62 corona infected people, 51 are residents of the port city and the remaining seven are the residents of different upazilas. With one new death recorded during the period, the death toll reached at two in Chattogram district.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that the Health Department has taken all out measurers to prevent the outbreak of corona infection. 

He urged people from all walks of life to avoid crowds and wear masks to this end.
