GAIBANDHA, June 21, 2025 (BSS) - A minor boy tragically drowned in water kept in a bucket at Goyalpara village under Palashbari upazila of the district this morning. 

The deceased was Salman Farsi, son of Manik Miah of the village. 

Family sources said a big bucket filled with water was kept on the yard of the victim’s house for soaking paddy to be boiled. At one stage, the child fell into the bucket.

Later, the child’s body was recovered from the bucket.  

Union Parishad chairman Mostafizur Rahman confirmed the matter and urged the guardians to remain more vigilant about their children and their movements.
