TANGAIL, June 22, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed in a road accident in Bawar Kumarjani area under Mirzapur upazila of the district early this morning.

The deceased was Sujan Khan, 48, son of Yunus Khan of Jirail village in Bakerganj upazila of Barishal district.

The accident occurred around 4 am on the Dhaka-Tangail highway when a covered van hit the backside of a truck parked near Ma CNG Pump as its driver lost control of the vehicle, said Anisur Rahman, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Gorai Highway Police Station.

Sujon Khan, driver of covered van, died on the spot.
