Snakebite kills woman in Kurigram

KURIGRAM, June 22, 2025 (BSS) - A woman died from snakebite in Bikribil area 
of Jadurchar union under Roumari upazila of the district in the early hours 
of today.

The deceased was identified as Firoza Khatun, 45, wife of Ferdous Ali of the 
same area.

Firoza Khatun went out of her house around 3 pm responding to the call of 
nature. At that time, a poisonous snake suddenly came and bit her on the leg. 
She fell ill. 

Later, relatives and neighbors rescued him and took to Roumari Upazila Health 
Complex where the on-duty doctors declared him dead, said Sarbesh Ali, 
chairman of Jadurchar Union Parishad (UP).
