DHAKA, Oct 1, 2025 (BSS) - BanglaFact, media and fact-check wing of Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB), has said a vested quarter is misrepresenting Chief Adviser Professor Muhammd Yunus' stance about lifting ban on fallen fascist Awami League.

According to the BanglaFact's findings, the Chief Adviser did not say the ban on AL's activities will be lifted 'any time'. Rather he said the party won't be allowed to take part in the election till there is a ban on its activities as decided in the advisory council meeting earlier.

According to that decision, every kind of activities of AL will be considered as forbidden till the party and its leaders' prosecution at the International Crime Tribunal (ICT) finishes.

"So, the clause 'any time' in CA's speech refers to a time after the AL's prosecution," the BanglaFact's finding report reads.
